RDS
Things to know before installation:
Host configuration and networking
To ensure a good performance experience, please configure the host according to the Host Configuration Guide. It is recommended to use it in a local area network environment, and use a gigabit network between the terminal and the host, that is, a gigabit switch and network cable.
If your host does not have external network connection or network connection restrictions, please configure it for offline use according to the instructions in the support center . Otherwise, the cloud may be disconnected every few minutes during operation.
Windows systems and licensing
The vMatrix server management software does not include multi-user patches. To allow multiple users to log in at the same time, please install RDP Wrapper or genuine Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection License . Please contact your local Microsoft agent to obtain Microsoft Remote Desktop connection authorization. We recommend that your host use the server version of the operating system as much as possible (for example, Windows Server 2019 instead of Windows 10), because the genuine Microsoft remote desktop connection authorization is only applicable to the server system, and the server system is more reliable than personal systems such as Windows 10.
If you install RDP Wrapper, it is recommended to use the original termrv.dll file before installation. If you have used other patches to modify the termsrv.dll file, it may cause unexpected connection problems.
Installation steps:
- Disabled security software during the installation of vMatrix Server Manager and RDP Wrapper.
- Run the installer of vMatrix Server Manager.
- Unzip the RDP Wrapper package to your local disk, and then run the install.bat file, or install Microsoft RDS CALs if you have purchased.
- Reboot, and then create user accounts with vMatrix Server Manager, connect the zero clients and the installation is done.
